I've jumped from atm on os8-9 to suitcase on os x and now I've been using font explorer since the first release and I have had no problems with it. Organization is similar to itunes playlist organization. It also has a "clear font cache" option. You can preview the font in a preview area or you can just set all the fonts to look like themselves while scrolling through the font list. I've never had a crash and the program also lets you know of corrupt fonts. I am currently running fontEXplorer 1.01 which is the latest build. Get it free here:
