    Yeah I agree.

    I am a student member right now but only because it is part of my program, but I have no interest in becoming a full member once I graduate.

    It is pretty crap. They host a bunch of events and stuff, but the benefits don't seem great. You would think that the RGD accreditation would give you some sort of advantage, but the problem (especially for freelancers) is that clients don't know what the fuck the RGD is, so it dosn't really work to your benefit against someone who dosn't have it, not to mention, the fact that you do have RGD says nothing about the quality of the work you produce anyways.

    I wrote an article last year for my school magazine weighing out the pros and cons of accreditatio (specifcally RGD); I kept a pretty neutral stance but overall from the research I did I made my own conclusion that it is not worth the money and not necessary.
