    B. The fact that I would never behave like this has nothing to do with self-consciousness.

Okay, now we're back to this. I think people who jog with their shirts off (sterotypically) are trying to show off their physiques, especially when the weather is cold and everybody else is wearing a sweatshirt. I may be neurotic about a lot of things - clearly I have no problem revealing that here - but me not taking my shirt off when I work out has nothing to do with an insecurity, and has everything to do with not trying to be "that guy" who wants everybody to look at them.

but that is self-consciousness as well, not?

"and has everything to do with not trying to be "that guy" who wants everybody to look at them"

a very conscious choice about presenting yourself.
thus, a very self-conscious way of thinking.

you don't do it, because you don't want that "image".

i honestly would not give a flying fuck what people think about me, as long as i feel good with it.

to be honest, i feel that people that avoid running shirtless for this reason need to worry less about other people's thoughts and the idea of an "image".

you are no different for this reason then the people that really take their shirts of for "image" reasons.

    sorry, mate..
