there is this goop on the motherboard which is designed to transfer heat away from the board and onto the case. which because it is made of metal conducts the heat away from the board. it was designed to run hot to keep the computer cool and run better.
i have to say its annoying to have to set a magazin between me and the computer thou. too bloody hot.
also bothers me i can not tip the monitor back that far like most laptops let you.
