Agents really are not the best. They all right if you want to just have someone in the background looking for work. But really, they only see you as a commission and don't see any value in matchng you with the right job. The right candidate for them is the person that earns them the comission.
I would really advise being a bit more strategic. Assemble a list of places you want to work, and start shooting out applications.
