Requiem For A Dream had a dope trailer. But overall I find most of them to be misleading nowadays, but not even in the sense of showing all the 'good parts' of the film in the trailer.
Just not captivating and end up missing the mark completely. They seem to lack the ability to capture what the film is like, the mood, the tone, the story, etc...
I've missed out on a lot of good flicks based on weak trailers when they first came out, then rented the flick a year later and was completely shocked by what the film was actually like...
