I got stuck in for three days while I was waiting for my sister to drive up since she was moving there. I was unemployed, in college and broke back then, and ended up at a hostel...but that's beside the point.
It rained just about every day that I was there, so I was forced into places.
Powell's City of Book on West Burnside is worth checking out.
We pretty much lived at The Roxy because not only are they 24 hours, but their food is pretty delicious and cheap, the menus were fun, the jukebox is insane, and you get a full karaff of coffee...which is rare in Philadelphia.
That's pretty much all I remember from that particular visit...oh, I did catch Stephan Malkmus and Le Tigre shows and the weed is pretty stellar there.
I'm sure this didn't help, but good times.
