my brother was WAY into the underground comics when we were kids...the TMNT ones that is..
i thought they were pretty damn excellent myself..some of the best story lines were in that first couple of years...
then they sold out to the company that does Archie comics..
it all went to hell after that...but man..those first few issues, all in black and white..they were fantastic...
there was a christmas issue once, where there were two story lines..one was three of the turtles getting ready to have a christmas party, and a second one with just leo battling his way across town to get home, fighting off the Foot at every corner..all with no dialogue..just silence and brutality...it was amazing..
from what i can see in that trailer, it looks thematically a LOT like the original underground turtle comics...
pro'lly not nearly as violent or cool..but waaaaay closer than that archie shit..ex
