I am not able to view the video due to my slow connection speed but are you basically saying that adhering to standards set out by w3C stifles creativity on the web??? I say bullshit!
Also you called it the "Information Superhighway" that's exactly what it is an Informative mass provider, not a single country lane with beautiful overhanging trees, birds tweeting, and the fragrance of rose petals drifting up your nose... jeez sort it out!!
