on the pc, right click on a folder and select sharing, turn on sharing for that folder and click the let other people make changes.
if you have a firewall, add the mac's LOCAL ipaddress to the allowed list.
go to the mac and hit command K in the finder, then type in smb:// and your pcs LOCAL ip address
this should bring up a network connection.
