monkeyshine: My point would be that FOF has an entire staff of research physicians who eat, sleep and breathe these issues.
There is a reason it is a hot button topic. The research has shown that adults possess the same research potential that the unborn do. As far as I can tell, those who push for using the unborn do so because it would be more convenient.
This is an issue which will always be a hot divisive issue because it cuts to an individual's core world view. If I believe that humans are merely the result of chance interaction of chemicals, then I'm not going to have an ethical issue with experimenting on "fetal tissue". If, however, I believe humans were designed with a certain dignity and purpose, I'm going to think differently about the unborn.
