    wow, have to fully disagree.

to download, i would suggest going here: http://plone.org/products/plone
or the *very* forst content link on the front page labeled "DOwnload Plone"- both seem about as easy as anything i could imagine.

as to the site esperience- i do not think it is cluttered at all. layered and chock full of an insane amount of info and resources? hell yes. cluttered, i really don't think so.

another aspect that really is irrelevant here is the comparison to mambo, nuke or joomla. these are all compiled snipits of dynamic scripting languages that end up hugging a db you create and marketed as a 'CMS'. while that definition is pretty relative, Plone is a true application and results in the user setting up a dynamic application server- very differnet than those others listed.

i also must kind of chuckle at the wordpress pick as getting best reviews. not to say it does not have it's point for a simple site with minimal to no remote db connectivity, but if you are a standards person with scalability, upper-end connectivity and CMS tools usage as your needs, good luck with wordpress.

oh, and wikipedia is built on plone... glad you like it. :)
