In my new work they queried me about setup specs and got me 20" dell as asked. Turned out they mistakedly ordered the 1600x1200. I wasn' going to use it for dvds, so just paired it with the old 15" lcd there was on my desk before the big dell came, positioned vertically on the right. The 15" fits perfectly and I use it for photoshop tools.
A week ago I bought a 20" widescreen for home. After the one I use at work it's strangely narrow, but great. Finally I have enough space for actionscript on the right.Go widescreen, push for 24", but you'll be fine with 20" as well.
