I know exactly how you feel.
2 weeks ago I decided to try a new place down the street. The guy looks at the sides of my hair and asks "What length? Two Gaurd?". I thought he meant the sides and beard so I just agree and focus on the World Cup game they have on. Next thing I know, he buzzed the clippers right up the middle of my head. I was freaking out (internally) for about 5 seconds, but then realized there was nothing I could do about it, so I just did my whole head at that length.
By the time he was done I really liked how it looked. Man, there was a lot of hair on the floor.
Don't sweat, It'll grow back.
