The material things (rings, cake, honeymoon) don't make the marriage, the people involved do. The best thing about my wedding is that 90% of the people that I wanted there actually showed up; and they had a blast as did I.

It was a very conscious decision. i think it makes the marriage more meaningful than if we'd slept together. People ask how I know we're physically compatible, but I say that if you're in REALLY love then the physical compatibility creates itself IMO.
So the wedding ceremony is important for me, but not nearly as much as what comes after...
