Dont' forget Prospect Heights in Brooklyn! Great neighborhood, on the edge of Park Slope but slighly cheaper.
I live there and love it -- especially b/c of the Q train and the kajillion trains at Atlantic Ave. 15 mins to Chinatown.
But, yeah, if you're only talking 10 weeks and you've got money to burn burn burn, Manhattan is the way to go.
