eh... i saw it on espn video and i couldn't believe the other guy dropped to the ground like that and writhed in pain.

Zidane broke Jochen Kientz's cheekbone and gave him a concussion with a head-butt a few years ago. I'm sure it's not the most enjoyable experience to be on the receiving end of one.
I have to admit, though, Materazzi just won a World Cup, and I've had Marley's Crazy Baldheads stuck in my mind for the last day and a half, so all is not bad.
