Zidane is probably one of the more elegant players that i have seen in my very young futbol loving life, but i have to question not only his competitiveness but Henry's as well. If you compare them to the greats in other sports, i.e. Jordan, Magic & Bird of Basketball, Gretzky, Lemiuex of Hockey etc...i cannot see those players doing what Zidane did on the biggest stage (especially their last game). Their mental toughness would be unscaved by players like Materazzi. Its a true shame that he let him get in his head or was even disturbed by him. If Zidane is considered to be one of the best, he should be stronger mentally.
As for Henry, another very talented player shouldn't have taken out of the game...i don't know if it was by request or his coaches decided so...if requested, he has to play through his fatigueness, if ordered, he should refuse to leave. I just cannot see Phil Jackson taking out Jordan or Jordan asking to be taken out.
just a bit dissapointed in French's star players as they dominated the ball in the second half and looked like it was a matter of time before they would score, but Italy weathered the storm...congrats to Italia!
