very lame excuse by your hosts, most of them say they 'do' but i doubt very taht is the case.
hackers generally hack for the sake of it and because they can.
you could try to get back ome of the data by going through all of the cached pages at google and yahoo. just type it 'cache:www.yourdomain.com' at both sites and it will show you the cache of the page.
10,000 posts will be a huge job tho!!
