My one "friend" got dumped by his girlfriend then went on a rampage and made a URL about her, posted videos on YouTube and sent e-mails to her parents.

Basically solidifying the point that they weren't the rite person to be with in the first place.
Be glad you got out, and it mite be a rough a little bit it'll blow over eventually (no pun intended).
I hope your parents are like the one girls, I think the response they gave to him was like, "Uh ... she's our daughter do you really think we are going to choose your side on this. Send another e-mail and we're forwarding this to the authorities."
