...and seriously, what kind of prison time was he going to serve? His stay at the round the corner federal prison would have been nicer than that place you stay at with the $1200 mortgage.
Personally, had he lived, dump him in general population at Rikers. I mean, think about it, if you steal cars, and say you get caught for the 3 time and they send you up for hard time, your total in damages could maybe range up into the tens of thousands. But this fucker and his minions were stealing millions upon millions! From millions of people! It's fucking crazy... Honestly, federal crime is the way to go.
