Its all ego. People may show portfolios to get work for sure. but its still all ego.
People may claim to be in love with the trade, the process, the community. But its all ego.
Some people clearly dont even have a passion for it like others, they just use the same old style as everyone else just to look cool.
Every designer I have ever met has had a huge ego, tthey wat to portray to the world that they are a creative designer!!!
