Take only four strikers to the world cup, two who were injured... another one who hasn't played for his new team, and didn't even get a kick of the ball... If this was though out properly they'd not have needed to rely on penalties.
C. Ronaldo was a slimeball but thats nothing new, and the portuguese team have the inability to stay on their feet.
Rooney shouldn't have done what he did, I reckon the push was what got him the card. Ronaldo got tripped at one point, and was rolling around on the floor holding his shin pads... what was that all about!
Portugal need to look at themselves though as they couldn't score past ten men for an hour...
All in all though it wasn't too much of a gutter as there wasn't the passion of Italia '90 when we actually deserved to get that far.
