my wife and i went to vernon, nj today, about an hour outside of the city(THE city, NYC-ity)
to go mountain biking but the hills there were all too hardcore so we ended up just going to the top of the gondola and hiking down. Halfway down the mountain we crossed paths with a big huge black bear, it totally scared us. It was right there in front of us, like 30 yards.
Anyway, we got down safely, then drove around, went on some back roads and came across a cool lake/pond hung out there for a while, then went to a restaurant and then watched fireworks at vernon, they were pretty good ones.
just got home and we're hittin' the hay. It was a pretty good day to be me.
