    DeviceUnseen NAILED it. This is the major problem I've experienced personally as well as looking at some of my clients.

    They are all advised to get on .NET and no doubt it's definitely a great way, however in the long run, it is definitely much much hard to maintain because of lack of programmers, high rates etc.

    I am building a service right now and going with php. There's really nothing you can't do with it. Some things are maybe a lot easier to do in .NET but I don't want to bang my head when my main programmer goes MIA.

    For business there's nothing worse then that.
