I don't think it's disgusting. in context maybe some of you will change your mind? Looking at a new, flat B&W logo versus one as familiar (albeit clinical-feeling) as the old one is a tough thing to do objectively.
i like the concept... that being siad, the execution does leave something to be desired.
I'm not sure why everything in this day and age needs to be skewed or faux-perspected to make it appealing to suits.
