Most of LA was rooting for the Mavs cause they're just pissed at themselves for keeping Kobe around and not Shaq.
Wade made it to the playoffs with Lamar Odom, Caron Butler and Brian Grant 2 years ago. But when the three of them were traded to the Lakers, with a better coach and a better star in Kobe (not my opinion) they missed the playoffs.
Believe it or not you need some veterans and a non-rookie coach to get far in the playoffs. Avery is a good coach, and may be great, but he couldn't come up when he needed to. Neither could the team.
I agree that my HEAT aren't built to keep winning. Zo and Payton will probably retire. Maybe Riley. But a year ago we were 90 seconds away from the finals. And the year before (without Shaq) we made it to the second round, with Wade leading the way. But with Wade not going anywhere for a LONG time and with a solid organization, I think the Heat will be around for a while.
