This afternoon, after I finish some writing in another hour or so, I'm hiking down to the Marina Greens to enjoy this gorgeous weather with all the beautiful nectars out jogging and walking their dogs. Plan to watch the sunset below the Golden Gate bridge while throwing the nerf football around with a buddy - perhaps have a toke in the park, and then wander Chestnut street to scope out the talent heading to dinner. I might even try to find the Red Sox tavern to catch their game against the Braves.
John Lester is pitching and I want to see if the hype is real.Tomorrow: visit roommate in rehab in the afternoon, trying not to exploit anybody's misery by writing a story about it later, while also reassuring her that things will get better (at least pretending this is the case). Then drinks with Mayo at her friend's Alameda tiki bar in the evening.
Sunday: walkabout the city, looking for spots and characters to photograph.
