First of all, I've given up reading all the comments, there's too much catching up to do, but let me say this - Canadian Tire doesn't need a fancy front-end to sell to their customers. Read that sentence again, "to their customers". The people that are buying at Canadian Tire Online are people that are at the very least going to be very familiar with the Canadian Tire brand. The same people who have been getting the fliers in their mailbox their whole life. All they need is the logo, every damn Canadian recognizes it.
Amazon.com keeps getting mentioned. Sure, it's more attractive but we're talking about a company that does not have a pre-existing base of customers and have been trying to sell themselves to the masses for years now. Canadian Tire isn't exactly The Sharper Image, so why should they pretend to be?
In the end, I agree that it could look a hell of a lot better, but what does it matter what I think? I've bought, like, one thing from the brick/mortar store for a looong time.
