I got robbed a couple of years ago through paypal. Basically I was too busy, and asked my ex-girlfriend to sell my vaio on ebay. She said someone wanted to buy it now for $1700, so I said sure. I signed up with paypal, money was put in my account so I shipped it. Yes, that was me with the philipines story. Then paypal took the money out of my account after I shipped it. I spent a lot of wasted time on hold with paypal's customer support, and they were pretty much very rude. It was naiive on my end, but a company that size should at least of refunded my money. They said I should have read the fine print, but damnit...it was too long yo, and no one reads dat. When speaking with paypals customer service, they were always ready to argue, as if this happens on a regular basis. Online fraud is the number one consumer complaint in America. Your best be is to not have too much money in your debit or credit card associated with your paypal account. I closed my account, and never used them again. fuck that
