I always hated Telly.
I remember the episode vividly, when I garnered the huge disdain for him.
He was learning how to cross the street, and he was told to look LEFT and then RIGHT and then LEFT again real quick to make sure nothing came out of the bleu ... but he kept looking left and right over and over again, because was afraid that if he didn't he would miss something barreling down at him.
It actually made me as a child, and as an adult refuse to look either way for the most part.
Just to spite Terrified Telly.
