    I am dealing with different coding standards issues now and was thinking:

    I can't imagine developing an application, that by my guess may cost up to 50 million dollars, for a flawed browser. Can you imagine 10-20 years from now still using that browser for this application. Why not design it to be forward compatible as much as possible.

    I get the idea of designing for standards and using hacks for IE to make it work similarly but I have no control of them adding client side code that is IE specific. I seem to be losing control of the markup to the larger team of developers anyway. The way they are going this will be nowhere near standards compliant.
