I feel your pain :/
You need a free model of something very specific - a pram, a fire extinguisher, 2 ducks arguing over the price of a gay magazine, etc etc...
There are seemingly dozens of sites that appear when you google 'free 3d models', and many force you to sign up to get into their pissing collection of 3 low-poly dune buggys and a lampshade. Total time spent 2hrs...In which time, you have gotten yourself exactly what you wanted, and probably learnt some useful things in the program you're using.
Im not meaning this to be an ass, it's just my experience :(..Just knock together some loft nurbs, fake the cloth with a wave distortion, and dont fret the chrome too much :D
