That river isn't painted you freaks. Even in Dylan Coles piece, its the photograph base layer.
Thats a photograph you dolts.
Digital Matte painting is painting on top of a reference photo with Photoshop & 3D renders to make a surreal scene.
Everything on top is Photoshop an 3D. Thats how matte paintings are done. With a photographic PLATE layer. And this plate layer was provided on the CD for use.
I encourage you to buy that Tutorial DVD and see how its done. You might actually learn a skill other than sitting on forums and pointing out how shitty everything is.
Do some reasearch before you start throwing accusasions around. Cool your jets and go back to normal bashing.
