Self-indulgent crap to follow:
Today, so far, a summary:
• 10 minutes late for car pool, resulting in dirty looks and 20 minutes of silent treatment
• milk for coffee had turned over the weekend, a big blob of it fell out into my first cup. drank coffee black since i couldn't get to store. not a big deal, nice change of pace.
• several rounds of nuisance corrections from management, since their new policy of communicating changes to usual practices via telepathy isn't working as well as anticipated
• leftovers for lunch, quite tasty
• someone linked me to a site that had pictures of a praying mantis that had caught a hummingbird, which was disturbing since i really like both but not together in this context
• picked some strawberries from the garden after i got home, a bunch were nibbled by birds, but not enough to call it a total loss
• gf was browsing online for some books to use in her summer class she's teaching, so we went on an etail bender together
• yankees are slaughtering the red sox (on the radio) but the sox are slowly clawing their way back
Overall i rate this day a 6.5.
