yes you can double click it and mark an in and an out in your stock window, then place on time line.
alternatively drage the end handles to the sections you need once it is on your timeline, do this for three or four clips if you have lots of clips you need to make then go to an editing package if you have not got one them exporting selections form quicktime can be a quick alternative.
