ok.. since I started this...I will answer threaddick......
I wasn't hating....there are different biz models and this is one of them.....I think competition will be good for threadless.....I buy from both ....but I like the art on oddica a little more at the moment.
Then again the stuff that I like from TL is always sold out.
And they aren't stupid for giving a large % to artists. They are just trying something different.
I wish them all the luck. I hope it works out.
Oddica AND Threadless are good for designers. Although Oddica will be more of an exclusive club for well knowns.
The problem with threadless is that when it first started.. the people that won... actually got fame.... now there are so many shirts printed... the designer fades into oblivion within a weeks time because there are 10 new shirts out.
I think they should be more selective in there printing... or highlight the artists more.
That's what we are working on with our company.
Either way.....it's all good. And criticizing an old company or highlighting a new company is not hating.
