what about the Unimaster?
common location: dark buildings with libraries.
superpowers: kills bad people with post-doctoral thesis.
ethics: good. criminals see the index as they die.
episode 1: Philadelphia. A bunch of crack-heads were about to rape a provocative blonde student but the Unimaster comes out of a secluded file depot from the library and severs their heads with a new compilation of post-modern experimental sonnets from the Northeast: "How to throw several grenades at infamous people without getting caught", David Stingray ed., Providence, RI, 2006.
