    look at the clothes sizes. Women's clothes are always labelled by a numbered size (8,9,10 etc) men's clothes are usually labelld by a less specific size (S, M, L)

    Where jeans are concerned woman's are still labelled by a numbered size but men's are sized by waist and inside leg measurement.

    I can see the problem occurring if you're looking at say, hoodie jumpers in American Apparel. But then I say, if you can't if it's men's of women's then it's unisex and who cares!
