  -Cmnd+U to turn on Smart Guides
  - Cmnd+K to open preferences
  - enter your space (the appropriate field already has focus)
  - Drag one object flush to the other and hit the direction you want it to move on the arrow keys

  Very, very fast and efficient, I'm contstantly changing the keyboard increment value.
