i live somewhat rural and on a well & septic system.. coming from the city there's so much to learn about keeping these things in working order, let alone having to build the house et all.
we have friends who make a living buying land, building on it and then selling the property... you REALLY need to know what you're doing. just the legal end of buying property is mega stress on its own.
give home ownership at least 5 years before you consider building.
