I recently got an eBay account. I don't use a credit card, so the company sends you a letter in the mail with a code, which you then input into your account to validate it. I was waiting for about 2 weeks before I received mine. During this time, some woman emailed me and said that she was going to report me to eBay for bidding on her item and not paying for it. I obviously couldn't do this, since my account wasn't active and therefore I couldn't bid.
Caught!
