i gotta believe that the sox and yanks make up more than enough with merchandising. they are the two most worn hats in europe.

The small market teams aren't actually held very accountable for how they spend that money. Who's to say what they do with it. Put it back into the team...?

but shit the LA Clippers sell shitloads of gear too per year and always have since their San Diego days, not so sure that equates to anything.
