Werird. I have many issues with Quirk 6.5. Like guides never coming on, invisibles wont come on. My fix is always quit Quirk, and then restart your machine. Works for me. You should be able to close that path like one would in ai or ps. They are really losing over there at Quirk. they cant even manage their own identity.
