Salisae, it's not meant to take the place of going up and meeting someone, it's suppose to help out with those times that it's not convenient to meet someone.
Wow, you would really laugh at them? As mentioned above, I have had a few small focus groups and noone said they would laugh or think less of that person if they were handed one. Plus it's more private than handing a business card to someone incase they are not menatlly stable.
