I agree that other sites are colorful, but I also wanted to make something that was cross gender with a little mystique so black was used.
Sinsiter?, I was hoping it would not come across as sinister. Maybe since it is a new way of meeting people as opposed to offering the same thing the other sites are, I wanted something a little different to set myself apart from other sites.
Free cards are ones I am handing out at certain local dating events. Since the cards are made of plastic I was hoping that a set of 4 cards for 10 bucks would be reasonable. Most dating sites charge 30 bucks a month for a profile alone. these you can hand out to any one anywhere, where as dating sites allow you only to view people that signed up for the same service.
I have had a few focus groupd on it, and not one woman said they would throw it away, they said it aroused their curiosity and woudl definately check it out.
