i don't think it's horrible. it was good for its time. it is refreshing to see someone concentrating on form and balance by means of sketches instead of just making something with the limitations of your knowledge of your favorite vector application.
since we can easily access tools that makes creating shapes easy as a click of the mouse doesn't necessarily mean we have deeper knowledge of balance and concept.
we just try something, look in los logos and be happy when we achive this and that circle effect in illustrator.
how many of us concentrate on the finer details of a logo and typography while we'd rather blind ourselves with clipart collages and paint drips and have the guts to call ourselves decent designers.
