coffee from a ugandan coop run by women went down my gullet-am I amazed? I realize I don't care where anything comes from anymore, I just expect it will be available. That's the real cognitive haze of globalization: you only care about what you can touch and consume. I throw away after one use evrything about that: the product, the packaging, nothing remains pure evrything I touch turns to waste when I'm done with it. Except that feeling of entitlement and worth.
The supply chain ends with me. One hand is golden and pays for this stuff the other holds a handful of shit.
I feel great. Cloacal consumerism - my degradation is valuable and I buy it in degrees every day, with every exchange.
I have probably made a mountain of trash in my life.
