next time you are in the car with a friend, and the Rakes come on the radio, make sure you hit the brakes repeatedly during the song and you can say "I'm hitting the Rakes, I'm hitting the Rakes" and you can both laugh along, maybe punch each other gently on the arm.
There will probably be an uncomfortable silence after that and he may not contact you for a while, but I'm pretty sure it will strengthen your friendship. but then , I have no friends so this is all my little fantasy.
