Bush and his comic doppleganger was the most symbolic act of his second term. Not only does it tap into mistaken identity myths in which the good one defeats the bad but in his case it replicates the corporate blandness of the twin towers themselves a neutral mirror-image that only gained meaning when destroyed.
I wonder whether Bush is mad.
